Fred Haas Trio

Enjoy an intimate concert with Upper Valley jazz legends Fred Haas, Sabrina Brown, and Billy Rosen. Jazzy renditions of Great American Songbook Classics and some surprises guaranteed to make you smile.

Jazz guitarist Pat Metheny calls Fred Haas ‘a totally world-class saxophone player.’ Fred has performed with Oscar Peterson, Ray Charles, Clark Terry, Sheila Jordan, Lena Horne, Dionne Warwick, The Mitchell-Ruff Duo, Joe Morello, Milt Hinton, Attila Zoller, Don Cherry, Bob Brookmeyer, Gene Bertoncini and many others. Trumpet legend Clark Terry said, ‘You won’t find a more capable jazz player and teacher than Fred Haas, and that’s a fact!’ Thomas Herrick, former publisher of Downbeat Magazine said, ‘Fred Haas is a consummate musician with a brilliant chordal sense and great execution…he has a definite identifiable style of his own.’ And bassist Milt Hinton said, ‘Fred is a great musician and a joy to work with.’

ETC (Eric von Ammon, Ted Mortimer, Cam Cross)

Dr. Burma’s Ted Mortimer joins Cam Cross and Eric von Ammon from The Flames for an acoustic concert of oldies, Americana, and classic country.These three stalwarts of the Upper Valley music scene have over 150 years experience combined. Eric started with drumming for Mrs. Wilson’s dance classes, recorded for RCA with the Joyfull Noise, played numerous gigs with the Swing Machine, Sensible Shoes, and is going on his 43rd year as drummer for The Flames. Ted has been all over New England giggin since the 70s with groups as diverse as The Party Crashers, The Stone Cold Roosters, and Dr. Burma. Cam groups ranged from Jimmy Caldwell and the Fire Mountain Boys, to the Alois Mayer Band, Crossfire, Old Dog New Tricks, and The Flames, since 1982.
